Become a Certified Drugs of Abuse Testing Officer
The previous Unit of Competency, HLTPAT304D, has been superseded, a new nationally recognised Unit of Competency, HLTPAT005 Collect Specimens for Drugs of Abuse Testing, has been introduced and is now available at Progressive Diagnostics.
The online component of the blended training course will provide you with the understanding of the processes, regulations and guidelines for conducting drug and alcohol testing in the workplace.
As you progress through the material you will need to complete assessments related to the content just completed. This may include various formats, including short answer, true or false, yes or no, multiple choice or drag and drop questions, etc.
Once the online training has been completed, book an appointment to complete a one-on-one webinar session with one of our trainers. Please allow approximately 1 - 2 hours for this session.
At this session we will be reviewing the theory component and you will need to confirm your knowledge and understanding of the content.
You will have the opportunity to clarify any areas of interest or concern.
Once you feel confident, the practical assessments will be undertaken. This will also include fully preparing a sample for further laboratory analysis as required under the Australian Standards utilising the testing equipment we will send to you.
The completed testing documentation, together with the prepared sample for testing, will need to be submitted to Progressive Diagnostics for verification.
Please Note: Progressive Diagnostics uses Zoom as our webinar platform. If your organisation has another platform, please contact us to discuss further.
